Major frontpage improvements!!!

HTCdriver.com made som major improvements on their frontpage! However this site was founded to give information on the problems with the Ati Imageon support on the Qualcomm MSM7200 and MSM7500 chipsets on current HTC devices, the download section seems very popular as well. We will support you with the latest information on the chipset problems in the problem page, but the frontpage will be dedicated to the download section! So what's new then. First I added the download of the week. Every week I will selected a download which can be downloaded directly! Second, for this month there will be a lot of updating in the download section. So feel free to bookmark us and come back later. Third, HTCdriver.com is currently the only download site which have direct downloads, never wait and no hotlinking. Uptime of the server last month was 99,91%, keep that in mind! THe romsection will soon be deleted and will be replaced by a themes/wallpaper section full with goodies!

Rom section added! (26-05-08)

Rom section added with direct downloads. In this rom section the official WM6.1 ROM for the TYTNII, already in 5 languages and more to follow. Also will the download section get some serious updates this week!!!

The download section is updated. The section is divided into more catagories to make it even more easy to find your download. Now that this step is completed, we will start adding lots of new downloads this weekend!

Old frontpage information:

After the clarification by HTC we will now wait till the ugrade they promised to release. Because we don't want you to spent your time here by doing nothing we've introduced the download section for WM6 freeware and software downloads (some trials). This site will continue to support you with all the usefull information we've got on the driver issue, and besides that, we will support you with the latest tweaks, tools, utilities etc. for your windows mobile 6 (WM6) and windows mobile 5 (WM5) device. It's planned to add a additional 100 downloads in the month februari. So feel free to bookmark us and come back. We promise direct downloads and do not link our downloads to any other site!

This site is about the issues found on HTC devices using the Qualcomm MSM7200 chipset. These chipsets are brand new and support many features such as hardware accelerated video rendering, 3D rendering, video decoding and such. But the problem is HTC isn’t enabling any of these features in their software. To be precise they don’t ship any drivers for the MSM7200 chipset, as such most of the hardware acceleration features in the chipset are left for dead. The goal of this site is to make it clear that while HTC make fantastic products on paper, in real life many of the features and especially the performance is sometimes worse than much older products.

After months of complaining HTC still ignores the problems.
On the left side I have linked a list of the various problems encountered due to this issue.
This site is meant to give potential buyers of HTC products a realistic idea of how the chipset performs in real life, instead of on paper, of course the decision of buying this product or not is still in your own hands and perhaps you will never encounter the issues depending on how you intend to use the product! .
